These terms govern your use of JellyFireEngine (the “Service”). By using the Service or creating an account you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

The Service

JellyFireEngine offers free daily branching stories for children. Stories can be read without an account. An account is optional and lets an adult save preferences and, in future, bookmarks.

Accounts

• You must be 18 or older (or the age of majority where you live) to create an account. Accounts are for a parent or guardian, not for children.
• Keep your login details secure. You are responsible for activity under your account.
• You can delete your account at any time from your account page.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• use the Service unlawfully, or to harm, harass, or infringe the rights of others;
• attempt to disrupt or gain unauthorised access to the Service, its systems, or other accounts;
• scrape, copy, or redistribute the stories or other content except for your own personal, non-commercial reading;
• misrepresent your identity or your age.

Content and intellectual property

The stories, artwork, name, and branding are owned by us or our licensors. We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to access and read them through the Service for non-commercial use. Stories are generated with assistance from AI and are reviewed before publication, but we make no guarantee that every story will suit every reader.

Availability and changes

We may change, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time. We may also update these terms; we will change the date above and, for significant changes, give more prominent notice. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated terms.

No warranty

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent permitted by law.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for loss of data, profit, or goodwill arising from your use of the Service. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these terms or use the Service in a way that could cause harm or legal exposure. You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction, unless mandatory local law provides otherwise.
